AeroChat

Chat with anyone on your plane.

No wifi, no cell signal, no internet. Enter your name and AeroChat finds the other passengers running it over Bluetooth. Phones relay messages to each other down the cabin, so you can reach people well beyond direct radio range.

Airplane mode, still talking

01

Pick a name

No account and no phone number. Choose the name other passengers will see and AeroChat starts broadcasting.

02

Find your cabin

Nearby phones discover each other and form a Bluetooth mesh. The People tab shows who is on board.

03

Chat

Talk in the public cabin room, message someone one-on-one, or start a group for your row or your team.

A chat room at 35,000 feet

Rooms for everyone

  • A public cabin room every passenger joins automatically.
  • Direct messages with anyone in the People tab.
  • Groups by name: type row-23 or basketball-team, share the name, and everyone who types it joins the same room.

A mesh, not a hotspot

  • Every phone forwards the messages it sees, extending range across the whole plane.
  • Duplicate suppression and a hop limit keep the mesh quiet.
  • iPhones and Android phones share one protocol and chat with each other.

Works in airplane mode

  • Bluetooth only. Nothing ever leaves the aircraft.
  • The app does not even ask for internet access.
  • A radar view shows every Bluetooth device in range and which ones speak AeroChat.

You stay in control

  • Stop the mesh from the notification, the in-app switch, or by swiping the app away. Nothing lingers.
  • No account, no phone number, no tracking.
  • Messages live in memory and are gone when you close the app.

Treat it like talking out loud in the cabin. Messages are not encrypted and are relayed through other passengers' phones, so anyone nearby running AeroChat could read them. Do not send anything private.

We read every message
