CADsmith
Parametric CAD, made for touch.
Sketch, extrude, fillet and revise real solid models with your fingers. Every feature stays editable: change one dimension and the whole part rebuilds. No Pencil needed.
What it does
Real solid modelling, without a mouse
Built for touch
- An offset cursor with a loupe shows exactly where a point will land, so your finger never hides it.
- Generous snapping to points, curves, midpoints and the grid, with horizontal, vertical, parallel and perpendicular inference as you draw.
- Handles stand clear of the geometry they change. Drag an extrude and watch it grow live.
- One finger draws and picks, two fingers orbit, pan and zoom.
Real solid modelling
- Sketch on the base planes, on any flat face, or on construction planes.
- Lines, rectangles, circles and arcs, trimming, and a constraint solver with length, radius, distance and angle dimensions.
- Extrude, revolve, fillet, chamfer, shell, union, subtract and intersect.
- Move and rotate bodies, linear and circular patterns, mirror.
A history you can edit
- Tap any feature to reopen it with its values, suppress it, or delete it with a warning about what depends on it.
- Roll the model back to any step to see how it was built.
- If an edge or face a feature refers to disappears, the feature says so and lets you pick a replacement instead of silently guessing.
Files
- Import STEP files and keep working on them.
- Export STEP for other CAD systems, and STL or 3MF for 3D printing.
- Documents live on your device. No account, no tracking.
Design intent
Exact sizes, not steady hands
Exact sizes come from typed dimensions on a finger-sized keypad, never from how steadily you can hold your hand. Select something and the tools that apply appear right next to it.
Change a length in the first sketch and the holes, fillets and chamfers that came after it follow, because they are attached to the geometry by meaning, not by position.
Under the hood
Geometry that opens everywhere
CADsmith is built on the Open CASCADE Technology geometry kernel, used in professional CAD for decades. Its exact boundary representation keeps planes as planes and cylinders as cylinders, ready for manufacturing.
The parts you make here open cleanly in other CAD systems, and go straight to the slicer for 3D printing.
